History of the Hotel

We have been spoiling our guests in our design hotel in the heart of the Prenzlauer Berg district since 2005.

The name “Adele” comes from the grandmother of the initiator and conceptual creator. She was born in the same era in which the building was built – the end of the 19th century.

In the Adele Designhotel, majestic old-style charm is combined perfectly with modern Art Deco design – thus uniting tradition and innovation in one harmonious whole.


Whether it’s a short escape to the capital or a business trip: thanks to our central location, at the intersecting point of the three Berlin districts of Prenzlauer Berg, Mitte, and Friedrichshain, you enjoy an excellent transportation link to all parts of Berlin.

The immediate area offers the lively activity of Kollwitzplatz and the Bötzow neighborhood, all in walking distance.

The Kulturbrauerei (literally “Culture Brewery”), the historic Backfabrik, Alexanderplatz and the Volkspark Friedrichshain, ideal for morning jogs, a breath of fresh air or simply for relaxation, are all in the immediate » vicinity.

Whatever you are planning for a Berlin trip, you can be sure about having a first class breakfast in a cozy atmosphere at the neighboring Cafe Melon:

  • high quality Italian coffee brewed by professional Baristas (Latte Macchiato, Cappuccino etc.)
  • hot chocolate from Italy or different types of fresh tea
  • 100% orange juice and mineral water incl.
  • different variants of breakfast (Grande, City, Maison, Tiffany, Napoli and Kids Special)
  • the large breakfast menu consists of high quality and fresh ingredients
  • fresh and crispy bread and croissant
  • homemade and fresh Bircher Muesli and natural yoghurt

You can also invite friends/family to breakfast with select organic products.

The surcharge is EUR 13.50 per person.

Children under 4 receive breakfast for EUR 5,00, children older than 5 count as full-paying adults.

Sports Activities

Sports enthusiasts find a perfect terrain in the park “Volkspark Friedrichshain” adjacent to the hotel.

For sports activities, the park complex with playground and lawn, very popular among Berliners, offers beach volleyball and basketball courts, a soccer field, a climbing/bouldering wall, a circuit for inline skaters, and a halfpipe, and on top of all that, a separate jogging route. The facilities can all be used free of charge.

Apart from that, you can find an open-air stage, numerous cultural facilities and a beautifully designed park landscape in Volkspark Friedrichshain.
